Planning for Success

Planning for Success
As we head into October, I want to remind everyone of two critical milestones before we turn the page on September! First, that we celebrated our 7th anniversary as one of the largest, fastest growing, and iconic global real-estate Brands in the world this month! If you haven’t already leveraged the great content and creative materials, you can find them in Marketing REsource. Please take a moment and share this on social and with your contacts and customers via email.

Next, September is childhood cancer awareness month and, if you didn’t know, our great network has been supporting The Sunshine Kids for more than 25 years! The Sunshine Kids is a wonderful organization that benefits families with children battling cancer by hosting a variety of activities and trips with other children also battling cancer. This allows the kids to be comfortable and make friends with children in a peer group, it’s so important! If you haven’t already, please access the video here to share the network’s role in support of this fabulous organization!

And, now, for the road ahead! I’m excited because October is business planning month and we’re going to take a page out of one of the best playbooks in the industry. From our Chairman and Chief Inspiration Officer – Gino Blefari!! Gino has built a career that is unmatched in the industry! Gino’s been a top-producing agent, an unparalleled office manager, an entrepreneur and business builder of some of the industry’s largest brokerages, and now the Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and the CEO of the largest real estate brokerage organization in the U.S., HomeServices of America.

One of the most critical pillars of success for Gino is the approach and discipline around visioning and business planning. Quoting Gino on the value and timing of business planning, “Over the years, I’ve seen so many agents, teams, and companies struggle in January and February. Because real estate operates on a 90-day cycle, what you do in October, pays off in January and February. So, I’ve always believed that October 1st is truly the new year in real estate. Planning in this way ensures you’re engaged and focused on working through the Holiday’s and head into the new year with great momentum.”

Please join me next week on the Forever Forum, a live-cast session with Gino where we’ll discuss Gino’s extensive experience related to visioning for success, creating a Lifeplan, developing your theme and business plan, the importance of planning in October for the year ahead, and some valuable techniques to get yourself ahead of the competition in the fourth quarter! Join me at HSFChrisStuart next Thursday, October 1 for this session, and all episodes of the Forever Forum.

Also on deck for next week, please join Teresa Palacios-Smith, Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer for HomeServices of America on another episode of Women Who Lead as she’s joined by three dynamic industry leaders; Nina Fabbri, Director of Preferred Alliances at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices along with Carmen Mercado and Marlana Scott, with Freddie Mac in the Single-Family Client & Community Engagement division. This session will go-live on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. Pacific.

Thank you all and see you next week on the Forever Forum with Gino Blefari!
